Covid-19 – latest N I Executive Restrictions

The Northern Ireland Judo Federation recognises the significant impact Covid-19 has had on the Health Service in Northern Ireland and the difficult decisions the N I Executive have had to make to try to manage and overcome the virus.

We recognise the impact these difficult decisions have had on our clubs and members, not being able to take part in the sport they love. The clubs who have been able to open again have done so with complete compliance with the NI Executive and NIJF guidelines. Those who have not been able to open have kept in contact with their members through various social media platforms to continue their engagement and bolster their health and well-being.

Sport has been proven to be vitally important to our health and well-being and we commend you all for your resilience and commitment through this continuing pandemic.

The new regulations that have been announced by the N I Executive for a 6 week lockdown from 26th December will be a great disappointment to you all but we advise all clubs to remain closed during this time, to comply with all the regulations so that we can come through the other side of this pandemic, ready to return to full activities in the months ahead and with the determination to work together to make Judo the best it can be in Northern Ireland.

We wish you and your families a safe and peaceful Christmas and New Year.
