DESCRIPTION:Kelly Staddon is coming to town!\nWe’re delighted to announce that Kelly Staddon will be our lead for the 2024 Coaching Conference to be held in the Lisburn Racquets Club on the 7th April. \nA full day of learning\, time on the mat and for the first time ever No-Gi Judo lead by Kelly on the Sunday morning. \nA bit about Kelly… \nKelly is a 3rd Dan Judoka\, former member of the GB squad and an accomplished competitor\, fighting and winning medals across the globe. \nShe has moved her skillset into mixed martial arts\, where she has retained Judo as her base and added multiple other elements to her capabilities. \nShe is now a professional fighter\, has over 110k followers on Instagram (@livingwell_kelly) and is a wealth of combat sport knowledge. \n \nKelly will be leading a full day of learning and in the morning\, this will include a No-Gi Judo session\, to which our Pathway Players are invited to so that they can train and also meet Kelly on the mats. \nBut that’s not all… \nKelly is an acclaimed nutritionist and boasts clients such as Chelsie Giles and other elite athletes in her portfolio. \nShe will be imparting her skills and knowledge in the classroom as well as on the mats. \nEveryone will leave empowered with new skills and knowledge! \nHere’s a full rundown of the day:\n\nNo Gi session for all (coaches and players) 9.00am to 11.00am\nNutrition session from 11.15am to 12.00pm\nLunch\nCoaches session in the Gi from 12:45pm to 2:00pm\nOpen training session\, coach networking / ideas sharing and Q&A with Kelly from 2:00pm to 3:00pm\n3:30pm departure\n\nWe ask that players arrive sharp between 8:30am and 8:45am for registration. \n  \n\nWhat’s the cost?\nFor our NIJF coaches and Pathway Players\, we’re completely funding this full experience so there will be no cost to you for the day if you’re a coach\, or half day if you are a member of the Pathway Squad or Academy. \nRegister below using the form. \nWhat do I need to bring?\nBring water\, a few snacks\, your Judo Gi\, pen and notepad\, clothing to train No Gi Judo (rash-guard if you have one). \nWhat’s included:\n\nA light sandwich lunch will be included as part of the day\nThis will be counted as one day of a revalidation event for coaching credentials\n\nHow do I register?\nSimply click here to complete our short form for both Coaches and Pathway Players \nPlease note\, the event is limited to numbers and priority will be given to club coaches and Pathway players. SUMMARY:Pathway Testing Day
DESCRIPTION:On the 2nd of September\, both the Pathway Squad and Academy will be on the mats and training. \nAs part of our ongoing process to standardise the Pathway initiative\, the training will be a series of tests\, levels and skillsets that will enable our coaches to ascertain the levels and push on the Pathway members to a high competitive standard\, ready for the competition goals we are aiming for later in the calendar year. \nThese are both in Northern Ireland and across the water. \nPlease note the times of 10am-11.30am for the Academy and 11.45am to 1.15pm for the Squad. \nAny questions\, email performance.lead@nijudo.com

DESCRIPTION:The Judo Unity Weekend is BACK!\nFollowing the success of the event last year\, we are delighted to let everyone know that the Unity Weekend will be happening again in the Lisburn Racquets club at the start of July. \nThis weekend (as well as being a Coach revalidation event)\, will give players and coaches to connect with clubs from the South\, both on the mat and if they choose over drinks and a bite to eat! \nLearn from each other\, train with each other and forge new connections in Judo. \nCheck out some highlights both on and off the mats from last year – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEPVsxNbk30 \nIt is highly recommended that players from our Pathway and Academy Squad attend these sessions: \n\nHere is a planned itinerary for the two days.
