The Northern Ireland Judo Federation is delighted to announce our selection criteria document, for athletes that aspire to attend the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in 2026.
Our LPC Sarah Barritt has compiled the criteria, to afford the athletes of Northern Ireland a great opportunity to state their place in qualification for the games.
Sarah added:
“Our criteria is based on robust benchmarks, that the athletes will have to achieve. The Commonwealth Games is an exceptional high level of competition, but from the work we are putting in with squads, talent development and around the clubs, you can see standards rising across the board. My mission, and the mission of the Board is to make the Northern Ireland Judoka’s a force to be reckoned with on the international stage, and we’re all looking forward to working towards this. The hard work has already started, and for athletes looking to qualify it’s about to go up a gear!”
