You must be older than 5 years old to start Judo and both girls and boys are welcome

You will only need and old tracksuit to get started (with long sleeves and trousers)

Once you have trained for 4 weeks, you must take out a membership to allow you to keep training. There are lots of benefits to your membership and you can find out more about them Click here >>.

Each club charges a “mat fee” which is a charge to train at the club. Some of these are pay as you go and some of these are via monthly payments. Your coach will advise you on which one is geared at your club.

Gradings take place 2 to 3 times a year where you can showcase your learning, take a proficiency test, and change your grade to go up in belt colour through the rankings.

Training will be tailored to you. You can aim for the coveted black belt, or just enjoy each session with your clubmates.

You can compete or not, aim towards getting on the Northern Ireland Squads, head to other countries to represent N.I. (at all ages) or just enjoy the club and the new friends you will make on the mats.
