Level One Coaching Course

We are delighted to announce that in October, we will be staging a Level One Coaching Course.

The Level One is the start of the journey of a coach, and will give you the fundamental skills to progress (if you choose), to the Level Two which will allow you to open your own club.

As a Level One Coach, you will be able to take a session under the supervision of a Level Two coach, and once qualified even open a “satellite” club as part of an existing and established Judo club that is NIJF affiliated.

This is the ground floor of you being able to shape lives through the power of Judo!

Here are all the details:

• You will need to be a minimum age of 16 and a blue belt grade
• You will have to have a valid NIJF or BJA Licence
• You will need to bring water and lunch to the course on both days
• Assessment Dates will be confirmed after the “pack” coursework has been completed
  (After the weekend of learning, you will undertake practical lessons at your own club over a period of time)
• The course is non-refundable

More Info:

• The course is held on the 12th and 13th October 2024, starting at 9am for registration on both days and finishing around 6pm.
• You’ll need a clean Judo Gi and also comfortable clothes for learning in a classroom environment.
• The venue is Carnmoney Primary School
• To qualify as a coach, you will need to undertake a DBS background check, child protection / vulnerable persons training and also an accredited in person First Aid course.
• You will also need to provide a recent picture of yourself in the passport style
