Female Fighters Forum: It’s BACK!

Due to fantastic feedback, the Female Fighters Forum returns on the 14th of November and celebrates the strength, resilience, and shared spirit of women in martial arts and beyond.

It’s a welcoming space where beginners, experienced athletes, coaches, and enthusiasts come together to learn, connect, and support one another.

This forum is all about empowerment, community, and the joy of training together whether you have a martial arts background or not.

  • 1:00pm at Causeway Judo Club (C/O North Coast Grappling, Ballymoney)
  • Please bring water with you.
  • ATTENDANCE IS FREE AND A LIGHT LUNCH IS INCLUDED
(this is a funded initiative and it’s open to females whether they have martial arts background or not)
  • You’ll get a FREE “FFF” T shirt (sizes are subject to availability)

What’s the agenda for the day?

  • 1PM – A light lunch is provided to fuel the day, it also gives you a chance to settle in and meet everyone involved on the day
  • 2PM – A talk from Her Sport

Her Sport workshops empower girls and young women in Judo and other combat sports to build confidence, strengthen their sense of belonging, and develop the practical skills needed to start, stay, and succeed in their sporting journey.

Designed with the realities of female athletes in mind, workshops explore topics such as confidence and self-belief, body image, menstrual health, leadership, nutrition, media representation, inclusion, and navigating the pressures that young women face both on and off the tatami.

Sessions are delivered by experienced facilitators and female athletes who understand the challenges of training and competing in sport. Through open discussion, interactive activities, and shared experiences, participants are given a safe, supportive environment to ask questions, reflect, connect with peers, and gain tools that will help them thrive in Judo, all other sports and beyond.

  • 3PM – Masterclass with Rachael Hawkes, Commonwealth Medallist.
Join Commonwealth medallist Rachael Hawkes for an inspiring and interactive Judo masterclass as part of the Female Fighters Forum. Open to all participants, this session will provide valuable technical insight, practical skills, and the opportunity to learn from one of the sport’s most accomplished athletes.
