Sarah said:
“As someone who has been through the Performance process, I want to support athletes and create opportunities for all the Judoka across Northern Ireland. My vision is to get us back onto the podium and creating winning opportunities that reflect the hard work of the clubs and coaches across the province.
I’m delighted at the opportunity to work with all the Judoka from Northern Ireland and look forward to engaging with clubs, players and all those connected to Judo, to create a robust and forward-thinking platform and inclusive process for our Judoka to thrive.”
Russell Brown, Chairman of the NIJF added:
“Sarah has been a force amongst our Judoka for many years, and has great respect and connections with many players, not only locally, but globally which will open the doors of opportunity for all the Northern Irish based Judoka, who want to compete at the highest level.
We’re very happy that she has come on board as our performance coach, we welcome her to the team and are very much looking forward to seeing the impact she will make for the players and the connections around them.”
